Genealogical Brick Wall
Oliver R. Warren (1752 - 1813) and Lucy Winslow (abt 1755 - 1836)
Information I have:
- Oliver was born 10 Feb 1652 in Waltham, Middlesex, Massachusetts to Asa Warren and Tabitha Johnson. Source: Bond's Genealogies and History of Watertown. 2nd Ed., page 622
- He married Lucy Winslow on 23 Sep 1777 in New Salem, Franklin, Massachusetts. There is also a record listed for Petersham, Worchester, Massachusetts. Source: Marriage Index: Massachusetts, 1633-1850, Family History Library Films 1901627 and 0874028 item 3.
- They had at least three sons and a daughter — Oliver (6 Jan 1784), Daniel (18 August 1785), Joseph (date of birth unknown), and Anna (date of birth unknown). Records show Oliver Jr., Daniel and Anna were born in Pomfret, Windsor, Vermont. Joseph may have been born in Massachusetts between 1789 and 1803, a period when Oliver was known to be absent from Vermont.
- Oliver died 20 Mar 1813 in Pomfret, Windsor, Vermont. Source: NEHGS, Vital Records of Pomfret, Vermont.
- I have found information in DAR online databases that provide information indicating that my 5th great-grandfather is, indeed, the son of Asa Warren and Tabitha Johnson of Waltham, Massachusetts.
- The same DAR database shows the parents of Lucy Winslow to be Thomas Winslow and Rebecca Ewer.
Information I'm seeking:
- Information that shows Oliver Warren is, indeed, the son of Asa Warren and Tabitha Johnson of Waltham, Massachusetts. Tracing back through my ancestry leads me to Oliver Warren and tracing forward from John (the Emigrant) Warren leads to Oliver, son of Asa and Tabitha. However, I need evidence that both lines lead to the same Oliver Warren.
- More information on Lucy Winslow and her ancestors.
- Information on children Oliver, Daniel, Anna and Joseph.
