- Franklin was born Feb 1853 in Union (Hamlin), Monroe, New York, son of Oliver Barton Warren and Dorcas Nesbitt
- In the 1880 census, he is a boarder in the home of Richard A. (R.A.) Johnson in Hutchinson County, Dakota Territory.
- He was one of the earliest settlers in Douglas County, Dakota Territory, purchasing a land grant of 160 acres near what is now Delmont.
- In March 1882 he married Alice Amelia Harrison, daughter of Franklin Lafayette Harrison and Minerva Ann Carsner in Hutchinson County, Dakota Territory.
- Alice was born 21 May 1865 in Iowa to Franklin Lafayette Harrison and Minerva Ann Carsner.
- They had five sons - Oliver Burton "Bert" (1883 - 1975), Harlie (1884 - 1960), Lloyd Lynn (1892 - 1985), Carl Eugene (1897 - 1969) and Elry Clifford (1904 - 1970).
- Homesteaded in Charles Mix County, South Dakota between 1896 and 1901; lived in Delmont, Douglas, South Dakota in 1910 and 1920 census enumerations and moved to Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota by 1930.
- Franklin died in 1935 and was buried in Delmont, Douglas, South Dakota.
- Alice died 6 Nov 1942 in Ortonville, Big Stone, Minnesota and was buried in Delmont, Douglas, South Dakota.
Information I'm seeking:
- Franklin's date of birth. The birth date of Feb 1853 was obtained from the 1900 census.
- Place and date of Franklin's death. I have not been able to locate him in the Minnesota, North Dakota, or South Dakota Death Indexes.
- Alice's place of birth. She may have been born in Floyd County, Iowa.
- Alice's whereabouts in 1880. I have not been able to locate her in the 1880 census.
