- Hulda was born Nov 1866 in Pomerania, Germany (Prussia)
- They arrived in the United States on 14 July 1895 according to his Declaration of Intent filed in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
- They resided in Belvidere, Boone, Illinois between 1895 and about 1900. The 1900 census shows the family in Belvidere.
- They moved to Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio about 1900 or 1901 and resided at 43 Holmden Avenue with Charels and Augusta Romig, relationship unknown.
- Fred was naturalized in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio in 1904 or 1905.
- Fred owned a 43-acre farm on Dawsey Road, Trumbull, Ashtabula, Ohio before 1910.
- Fred died 6 December 1938, probably at his farm
- Hulda died about 21 Apr 1949, in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio. She reportedly moved in with daughter Edna Romig Schaeffer after Fred's death.
- They are buried in the Footville Cemetery, Trumbull, Ashtabula, Ohio.
- Hulda had at least two sisters who came to the US and lived in Boone County, Illinois.
