Genealogical Software - GEDCOM to HTML Conversion

Many genealogy programs can produce Web pages so you can publish your family tree on the Internet. If your program doesn't have this feature you can use a program such as two listed here to convert the Gedcom file produced by your software to a format you can publish on the Web.

GED4WEB

GED4WEB is a Windows® 32-bit program (Win95, Win98, and Win NT, 2000, XP) that exports GEDCOM files and pre-existing genealogy files to HTML files (web source format using HyperText Markup Language codes) for publication on the Internet. GED4WEB is an easy and quick way to get your family tree documentation on the world wide web and facilitate research by enabling other genealogists to view your history.

GED2HTML: A GEDCOM to HTML Translator

GED2HTML is a configurable program that takes genealogical data from a GEDCOM 5.5 file and creates a collection of HTML files suitable for the Web. The HTML files contain individual data, an index to find an individual by name, a surname index with links to the first individual with each surname, and a Gendex file for use by automatic indexing programs.

Pedigree Viewer

Not really a program but more of a Web application from Family Search Labs, Pedigree Viewer allows you to upload a GEDCOM file and view the resulting pedigree chart. There are several options available including the ability to show the descendants of any set of parents, as well as search and print capabilities. It requires a Flash plugin for your browser.
