Services for Frank E. Warren, 83, of Mentor, retired crane operator for Diamond Shamrock Corp. in Painesville, will be at 11 a.m. at Brunner, A Golden Rule Funeral Home, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.

Mr. Warren died Thursday at Greenlawn Nursing Home in Concord Township.

Born Aug. 15, 1908 in Bismarck, N.D., he lived in Painesville before moving to Mentor 12 years ago. He was a member of Painesville Grange No. 1833 and Daughters of America Painesville Council No 93. He retired in 1973 after 45 years with Diamond Shamrock.

Survivors are his wife Elizabeth (Layman); daughters, Mrs. Paul (Patricia) Ossman of Westfield, N.Y., Mrs. Andrew (Roberta) Romig of Rock Creek and Mrs. Monte (Nancy) Lynd of Valynda, Calif.; stepsons Marvin Layman of Eastlake, William Layman of Geneva and James and Ray Layman, both of Mentor; sister, Mabel Pettit of Painesville and Marie Haynes of Madison; brother, Harold of Mentor; 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

His first wife, Laura (Webster); and brothers Hervey and Clinton are deceased.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Hobart Johnosn of Willoughby United Methodist Church will officiate at services. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.

The family suggests contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve Inc., 5766 Helsley Road, Mentor, 44060.
