Mrs. O. B. Warren

Mrs. Ethel May Warren, 70, of 17 Mill St., wife of Oliver B. Warren, died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday at Lake County Memorial Hospital. Ill for several months, she had been confined to the hospital for the last week.

Mrs. Warren was a leader in various activities at the First Baptist Church.

Born July 24, 1885 in Olivet, S. D., she had lived in Painesville since 1927. She and her husband were married Dec. 25, 1904 in Temvik, N. D. They held a 50th anniversary celebration last Christmas.

In the Baptist church, Mrs. Warren belonged to the Women's Association, Mary Circle, and Ever Ready Class, and taught Sunday School at different times.

Two sons preceded her in death.

Surviving her, besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Frank Pettit of Painesville and Mrs. Steve Popp of Grand River, two foster daughters, Mrs. Alberta Akins, Honey Grove, Tex and Mrs. Pauline Betts, Geneva, four sons Hervey R., Frank E., and Clinton A. Warren, all of Painesville, and Harold F. of Unionville, 16 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Eliza Zunkel, Mrs. Lydia Chase and Mrs. Maude Jackman, all of North Dakota, and Mrs. Mabel McLaren of Texas, and two brothers, Herbert and Charles Benedict of Minnesota.

Rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church. Rev Charles Lusher, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Nixon Funeral Home.

Mrs. O. B. Warren

Tribute to Mrs. Ethel May Warren, 70, for a life devoted to Christian service and for her service to her church were part of the funeral eulogy for her on Monday.

Mrs. Warren, wife of Oliver B. Warren, died Thursday night at Lake County Memorial Hospital. Her home was at 17 Mill St.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church. Rev. Charles Lusher, pastor, officiated. Mrs. Nina Leyde, played the organ.

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank, Clinton, Hervey, and Harold Warren, sons of Mrs. Warren, and Frank Pettit, and Steve Popp, sons-in-laws.
