Elizabeth "Libby" Layman Warren

Services for Elizabeth "Libby" Layman Warren, 88, of Mentor will be 10 a. m. Wednesday at Willoughby Hills United Methodist Church, 34201 Eddy Road.

Mrs. Warren died Sept. 28, 2001, at LakeWest Hospital in Willoughby.

Born March 2, 1913 in Orville, she lived in Frostburg, Md. before moving to Mentor is 1952.

She was a member of the Daughters of America, the Grange in Painesville and Mentor Senior Center. She did volunteer work at Lake Hospital Systems in Painesville and Willoughby. She was an avid bowler and card player.

Mrs. Warren was supervisor at J.C. Penny in Great Lakes Mall for five years. Prior to that she worked at LakeEast Hospital as a supervisor of housekeeping.

Survivors are her sons, James Layman of Mentor, William "Bill" (Jaclyn) Layman of Norwood, North Carolina and Evan (June) Layman of Mentor; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Ann Layman of Eastlake; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Lorraine Guy of Venice, Fla. and Dorothy Brode of Frostburg, Md.; and sister-in-law, Katherine Plummer of Florida.

Her husbands, Marvin Layman and Frank Warren; son, Marvin L. Layman; and brother, William Plummer, are deceased.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave. in Mentor. Burial will be in Wester Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.

The family suggests contributions to American Red Cross, Lake County Chapter, 1016 Bank St., Painesville 44077.
