Orlo Mitchell Sweet

Orlo M. Sweet Is Dead; Aged 59

Death summoned Orlo M. Sweet, aged 59, this morning at his home, 64 East Walnut street.

Mr. Sweet was born in Mentor on July 3, 1987. He moved with his family to South Dakota and in a severe blizzard in January, 1888, both his feet were frozen, necessitating amputation. Returning to Lake County in 1895, he settled in Painesville, where he has since resided.

He was united in marriage to Miss Alverda McNamee of Freeport, Ohio on April 5, 1904. Mrs. Sweet died on January 5, 1925.

Mr. Sweet is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Jacob E. Folk, Mrs. O. D. Clark, Mrs. Roy Bosworth, Ellen Alverda and Pauline; a son, Mahlon; three brothers, H. J. Sweet and E. B. Sweet of Lagrange, Ill., and W. P. Sweet of Spokane, Washington, and four grandchildren, John and Orlo Folk, and James Edward and Lillian Sweet.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Funeral on Monday

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p. m. at the First Baptist Church for Orlo M. Sweet, aged 59, who died at this home, 64 East Walnut street, Friday. The Rev. Warner R. Cole, pastor of the church, will officiate at the church following brief prayer services at the home. Interment will be made in Evergreen Cemetery.

Hold Funeral Of Orlo M. Sweet

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the First Baptist Church for Orlo M. Sweet, who died Friday at his home, 64 East Walnut street, at the age of 59. The Rev. Warner R. Cole, pastor of the church officiated.

Pallbearers were John Folk, C. B. Smith, George Frost, George Sweet, Pirl Betts and Ceciler Meade. Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery. Brief prayer services were held at the home before the church services.

Relatives and friends from out of town attending the rites were E. B. Sweet of LaGrange, Ill.; Roy LaMunyan of Renselaer, Ind.; Miss Alice McNamee of Columbus; H. J. Sweet of LaGrange,Ill.; Mrs. Fred Miller of Cleveland; Charles Grant of Mentor; Mr. and Mrs. George Sweet of Mentor, and Mrs. Lillian White of Cleveland.
