Mrs. Sophie Putka

Mrs. Sophie M. Putka, 77, of 76 Elberta Street, Painesville, died Saturday at home after an extended illness.

She was born May 17, 1889 in Czechoslovakia and had lived 23 years in Painesville. She was married to Andrew S. Putka in 1910.

Mrs. Putka was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witnesses and National Slovak Society.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Sophie Romig of Painesville, and Mrs. Mary Awarskie of Wickliffe; a son, George of Cristian St. Croix, Virgin Islands; eight grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 3 p.m. in Kingdom Hall, Painesville. Clyde Schieck of Madison Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses will officiate.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Spear Funeral Home, Painesville.
