Mrs. Myrtle M. Pettit
Mrs. Myrtle M. Pettit, 85, of 226 Grand River Ave., died Thursday in Lake County Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born Aug. 23, 1883 in Painesville, Mrs. Pettit lived there most of her life.
Mrs. Pettit's hobby was sewing and was a member of the Nimble Fingers Sewing Club. She was also a member of the Church of Christ and the VFW Auxiliary.
Her husband, Harry, preceeded her in death in 1936. A twin brother also preceeded her in death.
Surviving are six sons: Ralph, Carl, Clarence, Frank, Burtram, and George, all of Painesville. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is Saturday, 2 p.m., Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Foster G. Sizemore, Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling hours are Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in Johnson Funeral Home.
VFW services will be Friday, 7 p.m.
