GENEVA — Nettie M. Palinkas, 89, of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, April 13, at UHHS Memorial Hospital of Geneva. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by C.A. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St. Geneva.

GENEVA — Nettie M. Palinkas, 89, of North Eagle Street, Geneva, OH, died Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at UHHS Memorial Hospital of Geneva.

Born June 26, 1914, in Painesville, OH, she was a daughter of Homer M. and Lottie (Pierce) Betts and was a resident of Geneva since 1946.

Mrs. Palinkas cleaned houses for 20 yrs. She married Frank Palinkas in Painesville, OH, on October 15, 1937.

She enjoyed cooking for parties and family occasions, embroidery, and loved her Friday night poker games.

Survivors include three sons, Frank L., Richard M. and Homer C., all of Geneva; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1992; her parents; two sisters, Nina Warren and Inda Schutz; and three brothers, Ernest L., in infancy, Pirl A. and Allen P.

Calling Hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2004, at the C.A. WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman Street, Geneva, OH, which is in charge of arrangements.

Nettie M. Palinkas, 89, of Geneva, died April 13, 2004, at UHHS Memorial Hospital of Geneva.

Born June 26, 1914, in Painesville, she had lived in Geneva since 1946.

She enjoyed reading, cooking for parties and family occasions, embroidery and loved her Friday night poker games. She was also involved in her church lodge, club affiliations, other activities, and offices she held.

Mrs. Palinkas cleaned houses for 20 years.

Survivors are her sons, Frank L., Richard M., and Homer C., all of Geneva; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Frank, whom she married Oct. 15, 1937, in Painesville, died in 1992. Her parents, Homer M. and Lottie (Pierce) Betts; sisters, Nina Warren and Inda Schutz; and brothers, Pirl A., Allen P., and Ernest L., who died in infancy, are also deceased.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the C. A. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., in Geneva.
