Betty Overlander
WESTFIELD - Betty Jane (Ossman) Overlander, 79, of Finley Road, died Thursday (Nov. 27, 2003) in Westfield Memorial Hospital. She was born June 30, 1924, in Westfield, the daughter of the late Herman and Agnes M. (Skelton) Ossman. A Westfield-area resident all her life, she enjoyed needlepoint, cross-stitching, oil painting and cats. She was a dedicated homemaker who greatly enjoyed being with her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Parsons of Jamestown and Audrey Jean Marshall of Falconer; a son, Richard W. Marshall of Arizona; two sisters, Dorothy Walker of Brocton and Mary Ossman of North East, Pa.; four brothers, Paul Ossman of Westfield, Floyd Ossman of Pasco, Wash., Fred Ossman of Brocton and Leo Ossman of Dover, Del.; a granddaughter and caregiver, Barb Tracy, with whom she made her home; 11 other grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Overlander; a son, Robert J. Marshall; a brother, Herman Ossman Jr.; and a grandson.
Arrangements are by the MASON Funeral Home, Westfield.
