Jeffrey L. Loomis Jr.
JEFFERSON — Jeffrey L. "Bo" Loomis Jr., age 29, of Stollaker Road, Denmark Township, died early Saturday morning, Jan. 5, 2008, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born July 31, 1978, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Jeffrey L. and Tamela A. (Newhart) Loomis Sr., and has been a resident of the Jefferson area most of his life.
Jeffrey worked with his father in the recycling business; he loved music, playing the guitar and drums, enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler, and tinkering with cars and trucks. He also loved his time spent with his children, family and friends.
Survivors include his parents, Jeffrey and Tamela Loomis of Denmark Township; three children, Austin L., Alyssa M. and Anthony P. Loomis; a step-son, Jamie Jewells; five siblings, Joyce (Kurt) West of Perry, Wendy Loomis of Geneva, Patricia Loomis of Oxford, Jimmy (Mary) Loomis of Geneva, and Justin Loomis of Jefferson; 14 nieces and nephews; numerous aunts and uncles; and his former wife, Tonya (Durkin) Loomis.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Beverly Overly Newhart, in 1976, Davey Newhart in 1999, Joyce Loomis in 1972, and Paul E. Loomis in 2006.
Memorial Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at the Jefferson United Methodist Church, 125 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Dan Loomis and the Rev. Roger Loomis, uncles of the deceased, officiating.
Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Jefferson home of the FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in care of Jeff and Tamela Loomis, 4459 Stollaker Road, Jefferson, Ohio 44047; envelopes will also be at the Funeral Home and church.
