Edward O. Loomis
Services for Edward O. Loomis, 67, of Mentor, a retired employee of the former Diamond Shamrock Corp. in Painesville Township, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Mr. Loomis died Thursday at Cleveland Veterans Administration Hospital.
Born Aug. 27, 1923, in Perry, he lived in Painesville before moving to Mentor 23 years ago.
He worked 27 years in the boiler shop at the former Diamond Shamrock Corp., retiring in 1974.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors are his wife Lucille (Doebereiner); sons, Edward Jr., and Thomas, both of Fort Myers, Fla., Calvin of Painesville and John of Mentor; sister, Charlotte Phillips of LeHigh Acres, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
His brothers, Paul and Oscar, and sisters, Odalite Young and Silva Brown, are deceased.
There will be no calling hours. The Rev. Tom Ross of Miracle Temple Church in Hartsgrove will officiate. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
