Geral L. "Jerry" Klee
Geral L. "Jerry" Klee, 69, of Mentor, died Aug. 15, 2002, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights. Private services will be held.
Born Oct. 27, 1932, in Martins Ferry, he lived in Kirtland before moving to Mentor ten years ago.
He was a life member of the VFW in Kirtland where he was Past Post Commander. Mr. Klee was a former councilman in Kirtland, a member of Kirtland Kiwanis, and he enjoyed gardening. He was a US Navy veteran in Korea, serving on the USS Forrest Royal.
Mr. Klee was the Owner and President of Klee Enterprises of Mentor for 31 years and a past policeman for the City of Wickliffe.
Survivors are his wife of 12 years, Janet M. (Farmer) Klee; daughters, Kim Klee-Connors of Leroy Township, Karen (Edward) Valaitis of Willoughby Hills and Kelley (David) Wallie of Perry; sons, Kevin (Anna) Klee of Avon Lake and Kenneth (Shannon) Klee of Perry; ten grandchildren; step-daughter, Kathy Farmer of Mentor; step-sons, Michael Farmer of Willoughby Hills, Jeffrey (Maryann) Farmer of Concord Township and Patrick (Christi) Farmer of Mentor; five step-grandchildren; sister, Daisy (James) Barbur of Venice Beach, Fla.; and brother, John (Dode) Klee of Minerva.
His first wife, Shirley; parents, Lewis and Maude Klee; sisters, Lillian Hartzell and Irene Klee; and step-father, Andrew Work, are deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
