City Man, 49, Is County's Second Traffic Viction of '62
George M. Brown, 49, of 134 Pearl Street, became Lake County's second traffic fatality this year when killed Saturday night in Concord Township.
In a separate accident, three Lake County men were treated and released at Norteastern Ohio General Hospital following a two car accident at the corners of Green and Chapel Roads in North Madison at 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
Mr. Brown, father of six, died of head injuries when his car and a station wagon driven by Charles A. Guerra, 31, of Rt. 44, Painesville, collided.
Mr. Guerra is in fair condition today at Lake County Memorial Hospital, recovering from fractured ribs and a fractured knee.
Hit Head-on
Deputies said the two vehicles collided head-on at 7:28 p.m. on Rt. 44, one-tenth mile south of Auburn Road at the bottom of the hill.
The northbound Brown auto reportedly went out of control as it descended the curving hill, and crossed the center line of the road.
Mr. Brown was pronounced dead on arrival at Lake County Memorial Hospital. Dr. Richard W. McBurney, county coroner, attributed death to head injuries.
Body pinned
Before Mr. Brown could be taken to the hospital, rescue workers had to free his body which was wedged under the dashboard of the auto.
Surviving are daughters, Miss Annabelle Brown, 134 Pearl St., Mrs. Shirley Racklye and Mrs. Eileen Urban of Painesville, and Mrs. Jacqueline Harper of Hambden, sons, Wallace of Madison and Ernest of North Madison; seven grandchildren; brothers, Forrest of Mentor, Ely of Sepoived, California, and Merrit of Madison; sisters, Mrs. Belle Loomis of Ashtabula and Mrs. Clara Laing of Painesville, and his former wife, Mrs. Sylva Brown, 45 S. State St., Painesville.
Friends may call at the Spear Funeral Home from 1 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Foster G. Sizemore, pastor of the Painesville Church of Christ, will officiate.
Burial will be in Larned Cemetery, Chardon.

Pallbearers were Ernest Brown, Wallace Brown, Eli Brown, Merritt Brown, Jack Urban, Robert Rackly, and Solomon Harper.
Burial was in Larned Cemetery, Chardon Township.
