Anthony J. Benedict of Linton

Anthony James Benedict was born and died on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Med-center One in Bismarck.

Grateful to have shared in his precious short life are his parents, Maretta (Hartze) and James Benedict of rural Hazelton; his grandparents, Anna Hartze of Linton and the late Antone Hartze, Sr., and Brenda and Paul Benedict of Linton; three great-grandparents, Alfie and Shirley Offermann of Kindred and Wilma McCulley of Bismarck; eight aunts, Magdalena and Neal Schumacher of Ashley, Madonna and Mike Volk of Reiles Acres, Malinda and Russell Hulm of Hague, Marlena Hartze of Fargo, Marietta Hartze of Fargo, and Maranda Hartze of West Fargo, Tracy and Jody Mulder of Oakes and Stephanie Benedict of Minot; two uncles, Anton, Jr. and Tasha Hartze of Zeeland and Andrew and Debi Hartze of Evans, Colo.; twelve cousins, numerous great aunts, great uncles, friends and neighbors.

Private family services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at Linton United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Craig officiating and Rev. Kenneth Phillips, co-officiating. Organist was Linda Seidel. Soloist was Teresa McCormick.

Casketbearers were Donald Orthmeyer and Tim Kelsch.

Burial was in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Myers Funeral Home, Linton.
