WARREN, Daniel (b. 18 Aug 1785, d. 9 Feb 1870)
Note: Cemetery records from Monroe County USGenWeb site show the following record:
Name Warren, Daniel A.
Cemetery Brockport
Burial location lot 236
Enlisted Aug. 6, 1862 Rochester, NY
Rank Private
Unit Co. H, 108th NY Vol. Infantry; Civil War
Discharged Sept. 17, 1862 Antietam, MD (died in service)
Died Sept. 17, 1871 at Antietam, Maryland aged
Type of tombstone county
Notes Date of death on stone is 1871.

It appears that there that the Daniel Warren who died at Antietam may have been confused with my ancestor Daniel Warren. My ancestor would havebeen 77 in 1862, ruling out his participation in the war as a soldier. Itis possible that they both died on the same day, but nine years apart. It also seems probable that the body would have been buried at Antietam in1862 rather than returned to New York. Howver, there is no Daniel Warren listed as buried at Antietam National Cemetery.

Believe the Antietam Daniel Warren may have been the son of Ira Warren and Daniel's grandson.
