Be it remembered that at a Probate Court held at the Probate office in Chardon within and for the County of Geauga in the State of Ohio n the eighteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety five by and before the Honorable A. K. Smith Judge of said Court, an instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Uri Blakeslee late of Thompson in said County of Geauga deceased was produced in open Court and an application made to admit the sum to probate and record. It was therefore ordered by the Court that said Will be filed in this Court. And Julia Blakeslee widow and Levi Blakeslee, A. Blakeslee, E. G. Blakeslee and Mrs Orpha Stockwell next of kin of said decedent resident of the State of Ohio having in writing waived notice of the hearing her of which waiver was and is in the words and figures following to wit

We the undersigned heirs and next of kin of Uri Blakeslee deceased request the Court to receive and admit to probate the last Will of said Uri Blakeslee deceased at any time when most convenient without further notice to an of the undersigned

In the Probate Court at Chardon in and for said County on the 18 day of April 1895

Testimony in proof of the last Will and Testament of Uri Blakeslee deceased late of the township of Thompson in said County, Addie E. Graham and H. B. Palmer the subscribed witnesses to the last Will and Testament of said Uri Blakeslee deceased being duly sworn and examined in open Court on the day and year aforesaid depose and say, that the said Testator at the time of executing his said last Will and Testament was of full age and of sound mind and memory and not under any restraint, and that they signed as witnesses to said Will and the presence of said Testator and by his special request, and also in the presence of each other and that said Testator executed said Will in their presence.

Which said testimony was reduced to writing and signed by said Witnesses in open Court this 18th day of April AD 1895

Therefore upon the Court finds the aforesaid instrument of writing to be the true and valid last Will and Testament of Uri Blakeslee deceased, that the same was duly executed and attested and that said Testator at the time of the execution thereof was of full age, of sound mind and memory and under no undo or unlawful restraint. Wherefore it is ordered that said Will be admitted to probate, and that the same together with the testimony of the witnesses above named as well as the proceedings herein be entered of record in this Court.

The said last Will and Testament is in the words and figures following to wit
(Will)  In the name of the Benevolent Father of all. I, Uri Blakeslee of Thompson Geauga County Ohio do make and publish this my last Will and Testament.

during her natural life, and all the stock, household goods, furniture provisions and other goods and chattels which may be thereon a the time of my decease, during her natural life aforesaid. At the death of my said wife the real estate aforesaid and all the personal property which shall be at that time remaining of my estate I give and devise to my three sons Levi Alonzo and Edwin Blakeslee and my daughter Orpha Stockwell to be divided equally between them all, or their legal heirs.

Item 2nd I do hereby nominate and appoint my son Alonzo Blakeslee executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby authorizing and empowering him to compromise adjust release and discharge in such manner as he may deem proper the debts and claims due me. I do also authorize and empower him if it shall become necessary in order to pay my debts, to sell by private seal or in such manner, upon such terms of credit or otherwise as he may think proper all or any part of my real estate and deed to purchasers to execute acknowledge and deliver in fee simple.

I desire that no appraisement and no sale of my personal property be made and that the Court of Probate direct the unifsion of the same in insurance of the Statute. In testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16th day of January A. D. 1888
